Star Trek

I like watching movies as home. One of the best sets of home theater seating I have seen was some guy who did the basement as the bridge of enterprise.

That must have taken a pile of work. I know have a new basement and I am considering what to do with it.

Dilbertism

I wonder how close market research is to a Dilbert cartoon. It seems to me that the marketing department is quite similar to Dilbertism.

I have known several marketing weasels who do all kind of crazy things. However, I do enjoy talking with them.

I hope you have a great day.

Computer

So why should I worry about any program that I have. I am of the opnion that I should not have to worry wether it is an art program, financial consolidation software, or word processing.

I like the computer and see it as a tool. A tool that can be used for good or for bad. The tragic part is that most people like to use it for the bad. I am always amazaed at how much fear there is out there on the computer.

Well have a good and fear free day.

Broken

Recently I had a really sad event happen in my classroom. My globe fell down and was broken. The whole world was in an apocalyptic mess being broken in two.

Good thing I had globe life insurance for my globe. This was I was able to buy a new earth and have a globe for the classroom.

Imagine having a geography class without a globe. That would be a sad day.

What do you mean I did not understand something.

Have a happy day

More on tools

So I was thinking thinking about my prior post on using the right tool for the right job.

Think if you were using a hammer when you need business cards to be used.

Well that would mean that your client would not know how to get a hold of you and the client would have a bad headache.

I think is something we would only see in Dilbert.

Have a most happy day.

The Right Tool

My dad taught me one good thing. One that I have not passed on well to my child.

One item that I should. Use the right tool for the right job. Do not use:

A screwdriver when you need hammer, good thing I have craftsman

A hammer when you need a chisel.

Don't use a thermonucular weapon when a coin sorter will do.

It only makes sense and somehting I need to pass on. W

Well have a happy day and make sure you use the right tool at all times.

would-a, should-a, could-a Part 2

Think of how many people try to change with people like Dr. Larry Shapiro. We often try these games.

When it all comes back down I have only two major regrets that I often play the would-a, should-a, could-a game. The odd part is they are both interelated. One is with the other. If one happened the other would never have happened. If the second had happened, the first may have happened.

would-a, should-a, could-a I really wish I knew.

would-a, should-a, could-a

I seldom like to play the game of would-a, should-a, could-a. It is like playing with Ping Golf and slicing wrong. The older I get the fewer would-a, should-a, could-a there are.

Most become minor. However, someitmes one just sits in your mind. These often become the big regrets in life. I would-a, should-a, could-a done this. The real question is would you have. I mean I used to think about why did I not get this job. Now I really do not care. It was big at the time.

But what about the big ones. The ones that would change your life. Either for good or ill. Like, why would have happened if you said hi to that blonde and asked her out. What if you stayed with your high school sweetheart. would-a, should-a, could-a is always tough game.

Do you go back and try to change. However, there is no true going back.

Wandering Around

I have been doing some traveling around the country of late. All I have is my car and my good old and reliable Samsonite luggage. Plus an iPod, how can I live without that.

The United States of America is such a pretty country. There is so much to see and to do. Most people avoid some of the Northern States like the Dakotas. South Dakota is a wonderful place that one must visit in their lifetime.

Have a happy day
