CO or NC, that is the question

Since I am looking at moving the question becomes where?
Do I want mountains? Maybe.
Do I want seashore? Would be nice
Do I want snow? Well the family does.

So I was looking at places like Denver and their real estate and Raleigh Real Estate. Both places are nice. I really miss the ocean. Since going back to California does not seem likely, maybe somewhere on the other side of the nation would be good. After all there are two oceans that we have.

Ah the smell of sea salt, the noise of the ocean or freezing temps and snow . . . now let me think . . . think, think, think. I think I have thought out.

The Maybe Eyesore

If you read one of my other blogs you know I am thinking about painting. However, Picking Paint colors is not an easy thing. I mean there can be a small difference between a great looking house and the public eyesore. I mean with my luck I am more likely to try to choose a really cool color that will look like an eyesore when the paint is dry. Of course if I try finding the eyesore color and use reverse thinking . . . then I will have an eyesore.

I figure no matter what happens, I will have truly bad paint job.

Expensive Baby Clothes

In the most recent Star Tribune, Jan 25, had a fun article about baby clothes. Now I am concerned. There were $140 sweater. There was $90 sweater. Pants costing $25 dollars. So I was thinking this really stinks. That sweater costs more then I wear in several days.

I took a poll and no one in the room was wearing even $90 worth of clothing (excluding shoes).

Should we not be putting money where it belongs for the babies: music, basic clothing, Emily crib, and love for the kids. All this will go further then a $90 sweater that will be out grown in a month or so. Those who buy this . . . there may be a good place to garage sale.

Iraq Exit Strategy

Now that it looks like we will be in Iraq for years to come . . . I have a suggestion.

This suggestion is for all the people who want Iraq to be over. The government is also free to use my idea (please).

Since there would be a cost for all the soldiers to come home. Let's put postage on all the soldiers without enough postage, then we place some return address labels on the troops. I am sure every family will be glad to pay for the return address label for their solider. I will personally pay for two myself.

The idea is that the post office will promptly deliver all the troops back home, safe and secure. This is a great idea that work.

We bring out troops home.
We save on airplanes
We save on airfare.
We save money all the way around.

This can really work . . . maybe. Well at least it seems better then Bush's plan on how to leave Iraq.

Okay maybe this was a a little to randum.

Diet for the Governemet

I have been looking at the government with a new set of eyes. For many years the government was lean and trim. As Americans have become fatter so has the American government.

So what I propose is that the government try to lose weight and get healthier and thinner. A Fat Burner needs to hired or elected or appointed and trim the fat from the US government.

IF and I stress IF this could ever happen, we could have more liberty instead of freedoms. The founding fathers were right. We need a lean government, that is "Of the people and for the people" and not against the people.

gifts and such

Gifts! I cannot even count the number of gifts purchased last year. First, we have birthdays. A good 15 or so for that. Then we have holidays with Christmas and Easter. Then we have graduation, I bought four last year. Then there are the gifts at work for people who are leaving or having babies or getting married.

Let's see. . . marriages - at least three, babies - three there also though for differing people. Two for people leaving work.

Then to add onto all that we have first communion gifts, confirmation, baptism, and an assorted other items.

I am wondering do greeting card companies think of all the holidays . . . sweetest day, grandparents day.

I need a day off card.

Do I need to Sleep?

Working hard is not easy task. I have been in the bummer position of having to work late and get up early. Thank goodness for vitamins, large doses of caffine, Energy Drink in a can, and naps.

So why do I do this. I always kind of wonder. Somehow I think we all end up in this position at one time or another. In any case I shall get through this . . . just as I always do.

There is a free lunch.

Why do we have business cards? Well, I give a few out here, a few out there.

But, I finally really figured out why we have business cards. We have them for free lunch. After all these years of tossing business cards into the pot for a free lunch, I finally won one. Yeah!

I hope that I get a good free lunch. With my luck it will be the special of the day, eye of newt or something just as bad.

I just noticed the SPAM rate has slowed down.

I have one account that does not have SPAM protection. I was getting nearly 50 a day, now that rate is in half.
